RE: what is the overall best intake manifold?
there all about the same performance on good quality ones.
TrickFlow and Edlebrock make nice intakes.
some intakes will have runners that are set-up for higher rpm power bands
and are not as good for street.
check out the Trickflow Street Heat intake.

RE: what is the overall best intake manifold?
First off, you can't ask a question like that and get a reliable answer b/c we don't know what mods you have or what your intentions are for the car. GT40, TFS, Edelbrock, Holley all are very good intakes, but you need one that's suited to your application or you could lose power (read that as won't realize full potential....).
The difference in the street heat and the track heat is the length of the runners.
Street heat =14" runners make good low end tq and power band from idle to 5500rpm (Edlebrock RPM also has this rpm range)
Track heat=12" runners don't have as much low end tq, but make more hp up top; power band from 1500?-6500 (same as RPM2)
Hope that helps. FYI, at Summit, you can select the different intakes and compare them side by side to see the differences....good way to learn.

summitracing.com is a great place to learn about and compare parts.....
A newb tip for ya...If your wanted to know about heads, intake, cam, etc, be sure to tell us what you are planning to do w/ the car and what you have already done. It'll keep you from getting chewed up and spit out on the forum
