Howdy All-

I just purchased an 88 5.0 HO motor for my project as a temp motor. The motor is all stock, never been modded or anything and was from the factory mated with an automatic transmission.

I am planning on running a 4/5/6 speed manual in the car and was told that I only need to get a flywheel that is balanced to the damper/ balancer thats already on the motor. Does anyone know what that information might be- as far as the weight of the balancer, or what flywheel I would need.

u mean to swap in a manual? if so, ull need alot more than whatever ur talkin about....pedals, back up harness, tranny crossmember, clutch, flywheel, tranny, shifter, sometimes driveshaft, bellhousing, speedo gear and all the bolts and sh*t

Ofcourse, I know what I need for the whole setup--I am just unsure of the balancer weight or what flywheel I would need to match the stock/oem one thats on the motor.
