o2 gone bad

Default o2 gone bad

Question:
Would a bad o2 sensor cause me to run rich? I get a big black puff out of my exhaust if i punch it around 4,000rpms.

Yes it will. Is check engine light on. Usually that is one sign of a bad 02.

I'd replace them though, if you have troube getting them out like if they're stripped use a monkey, as in plumber's wrench. Works like a dream.

Yap. Do it. They are a little exprensive but will save you more on gas. Use the plumbr wrench if they are rusted shut. I had to deal with that problem and it worked.
