You cant do them yourself, unless you have a double flaring tool.

A single flare will not hold with that much pressure in the brakes. Its a liabilty issue. Just go to your local auto parts store and pick up some brake line, its already flared all you have to do is bend it yourself.

Yeah but i'm thinking about buying Ford motorsport kit m-2300-k which is cobra R brake kit but you need to flare a single line yourself. How much is a double flaring tool? Is it safe to do a single brake line?

A snap on double flare kit cost about $150 so one from any auto parts store that carries them should be about half that. Its very easy to use and should come with some kind of directions. If you get one and need help using it just let me know.

i literally JUST did this with my PGT as i had to replace a brake line. Go to autozone, they loan a double flaring tool there (for free) It has all the pieces and instructions in the kit and it works like a charm. It basically just stretches the end of the pipe open a little bit so it can be connected to the rest of the system.

Edit: you can also loan a tube bender at the same time for nice clean bends

Or, go to a NAPA store and get a high quality brake line that the size/lenght you need.....
