Default RE: Mustang Goal 10s...

alright thanks for everyone's input about this. I think I am going to calm down my goal for now, first off I cannot do all of it at once and will have to do it in stages. I talked to Accufab and CHP today about this. I want to go in stages so I can save up money.
First Stage
CHP 347 Street Fighter-Pro Street Blower Stroker Kit
4.000 to 4.040 bore - 3.400 stroke - 8.5:1 forged piston

Forged steel crankshaft
CHP 4340 forged steel connecting rods (5.315)
Probe SRS forged pistons (8.5:1)
Blower Dish pistons

Second Stage
Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake
AFR 185 or Victor Jr. Heads
Cam Set (with new chain, lifters etc.)
Accufab 75mm Throttle Body

Third Stage
Accufab Longtube Headers
2 1/2" exhaust (magnaflow or bassani)

The compression ration would be a 9:1 so I could eventually put a blower or nitrous on in the future. More input would be helpful and thanks again

those heads will need some work..if this car is going to be mainly a drag car then the AFR 205 is the right head....the intake will need some attention and maybe need some expoxy to make it move air a lil faster....as far as the engine is laid out there seems to tell me you haven't thought threw what your looking at....is 10's your only abjected?....a computer set up needs to be chosen as this item will have the most say on way this engine will/will not be or do.....so is should be 1-2 on your list...a good cam selection is as important then the other pieces fall into place...as for you suppension mods if your not going competion for $$$ only than the best suppension products are not needed ...as for steeda your paying for the name..kenny brown is great stuff as is upr,and a few others...coil ovesr will help you in your quest for 10's I do not use them to get to 10's but it would have made live easier as my $$ was short but it's on my list...blisten shocks don't work with some coil overs...lakewood is a great shock and about 1/2 the price..your dad would I'm sure adppreiate the savings..31 spline axle should be used using a spider gear set out of a f-150 or just finding the whole carrier which are cheaper and using a 4.10 or 4.30 gear.

you ask about my combo I use a lil ole 306 i'm very aggresive on my combo with flattop pistons unlike your dish ones....you are better advise to use your dish ones

you won't need the 24 lb injectors until you change the cam and heads.

Well I got a new programed computer from a 89 that was custom programed for the mass air converision with the C & L 76mm MAF sensor and tru-flow pipe and the 24lbs injectors were programed into the computer too.

in that case, I guess you need to use the 24's.

so basically you have a 93 corba 'puter..10's will need like at least a 42# injector...so sit back a sec....10's is streetable with it's problems..my suggestion would be something in the mid 11's that why you can really enjoy the car..a power adder is always nice since the car won't be a radical....he's is a suggestion

331..w/ fly cuy pistons
afr 185
550-575 lift cam 112 c/l
track r intake or gt-40
75mm t/b
85 maf
msd dist..a6l box
equal length header,dr gas x-pipe,mag mufflers,with 3" tail pipes

or I would think about just going carb so much cheaper and easier

Ok thanks I think I am setting it back a second because I am going to drive it to school in the summer and spring months when it is warm. I have realized that my goal was a little radical for a street car and 11s would probably suit me better for now.
