Default Rear control arms

Each year since purchasing my 89 LX 5.0 I have added something(s) to make it better and this spring when I got it out of storage, I added the rear upper and lower control arms that I had purchased from Ford Racing.
I have a few comments and a question and would appreciate feedback of the helpful kind.
First, I noticed that while the lower were fully boxed and different from stock, the upper ones, though said to be heavy duty, looked the same. Has anyone else used these control arms? What is your opinion of them?
The kit included all the necessary hardware except four bolts on each side; said to reuse the stock bolts a fact which might be practical in California but here in Ontario, despite the fact that the car has never seen winter, the bolts were seized and/or badly rusted.
Secondly there were two levels for mounting the lowers with one recommended and said to give 85% better traction. The other setting was said to give an 135% increase. Has anybody out there experience with these settings and can give me a recommendation? I put them on the recommended level.

Is it a street car or race car? The "HD" ones are fine for a street to a 12 second car.

I have the ford racing upper control arms. Thay look like stock , but the big difference is in the bushings that they use. They are much stiifer than the stock ones providing less deflection and better grip while still allowing a pretty smooth ride compared to poly bushings. I like them . There is no axle bind , the grip vastly improved, wheel hop is pretty much gone, and the ride is near stock in terms of comfort.

The big difference is in the rain and through twists and turns, and on the straights as well. All are improved on my car and the only mods on my car as far as suspension goes are new MacPherson struts up front with new A-arms"stock" but with better bushings, Strut tower brace, and custom made floor seat support braces. My springs and shocks are all factory original as well as my lower rear control arms. The Ford Racing uppers make a big difference. At least they do on my car. I also use 16"rims on 225/55/zr-16 goodyear eagle rsa's if thats any indication of improvement.
