Valve Covers and Heater Core

Valve Covers and Heater Core
Hey guys, I posted this smaller in one of my others, but I have time today to work on it so I kind of want to do it all today. So I took a look at the car, and the leak is in the VC (yes leak is at the VC and not the pan!). So I am gonna change the gaskets, is it fine getting ones from the parts store?(FELPRO CORK, or FELPRO PERMADRY PLUS (HD)). I was wondering is it self explanatory on changing these, taking off the intake correct? Also the heater core, anyone got tech articles and such diagrams to help me out here?. Thanks in advance, so excited on this purchase. How do adjust the clutch, I hate having to floor it to change each gear... Anyone know how to adjust these things?

I would not use the cork gaskets. Stick w/ the oe metel/rubber combo. A bit pricey though but worth it. You can get them cheaper from 50resto than you can from the dealer.

Thank you pro50, do you thing the metal felpros will work? Im thinking about going to go get some (I think there metal). Kind of want to get it done today, thank you for the heater core tech article! To get those covers off I have to take off the upper intake, am I suppose to replace that gasket as well?

Also, when you have the upper off, cover the intake runners w/ something so you don't accidently get something in there while working on it.
