Yeah but with the TFS head you dont have to fly cut the piston with lifts up to .550. But if you are going to go with the AFR's Id say go with the 185's, and some monster of a cam. And while you got the pistons out (getting flycut) just have em balance the whole assembly and youll be able to spin er up to 7k+ no problem.

Jegs.com sells the AFR heads pretty cheap. I think around 1300 somwhere around that , not much more than the TW's.

sure you can get more lift with the trickflows, but duration is the important part and thats what the better flowing AFRs are going to thrive on

you can always get the high rev springs....your right duration as long as it's on par with cylinder pressure.afr's respond to it,but so does trickflow.

I've emailed both AFR and TFS about PTV.... AFR said anything close to .~530+ lift should be checked (that's on the 165's) and TFS said anything past .540 should be checked.

As far as prices, c-f-m.com has AFR 165's for $1285 shipped (or did, at least) and TW's are usually $1050-1150 online.

After talking to people that have used them, I'll be going w/ the AFR's whenever I can spring for them.
