Just starting this morning. The cover came off the car last night during the passing of Alberto. The light will blink three or four times, stop briefly then repeat. I thought it may have to do with getting wet last night. The car rarely sees rain.
This should probably be in general tech, huh?

 

Hey that happens with my 94 too.
It will blink then go away, then periodically show up again.
I think it may have to do with the front airbags in the 94 though, because I believe they were recalled.
I should get that checked out

mine does the same thing, but thats cause i put a diff. steering wheel in there and now there is no air bag.

 

Since you have the system deactivated....you could get rid of the light blinking by disconnecting the airbag module......

 

That happened to me. It's probably the air bag sensor module. Actually mine got so bad that you would hear a crackling noise coming from the dash. And it was annoying. So eventually I couldn't take it anymore, (it got pretty loud) and I took off the radio and the a/c controls and found the green box (supposed to be blue but was like an aqua greenish color) and RIPPED that b*tch out and disconnected it and threw it away. I got scared thinking that if I had hit a bump too hard or something that the air bag would deploy so I just made sure that wouldn't happen. Don't even know where you can get another one of those modules so I just said "F*ck it". The air bag light stays on all the time now but there is no horrible noise and it doesn't flash. I'm probably just gonna take the bulb out and be done with it.
