Default RE: Cam upgrade???

Well I purchased a remanufactured trans from Jasper which claimed to have come with a TC (which i didnt confirm before it was installed) but after removing the trans and installing the TCI TC it looked like the factory TC. We assumed that the old TC couldnt stand up to the newly rebuilt engine, rear-end, shift-kit and other mods that I mentioned. The damage to the trans was all my fault because when I noticed that the TC was failing I didnt pull over to the side of the road and instead forced her home, which by that time caused internal damage. I guess I was a bit pissed because I had just spent a lot of dough on the rear end and gears......but now Im spending even more money because of it!!! LOL. Thats why I am asking about the cam. I would like to get the Trans and Cam done at the same time. Im still not sure on which cam to go with because the replys seem to be stuck in between! As crazy as this may sound.....I simply want a cam thats going to give me more "lope" (thats for the correction on "Lope" not "Yope" haha) without changing the inside of the engine. Power is good, but like I said this is more of a toy that a play around town in.....I dont do any serious drag racing for pink slips or $$$$. I was always told that the E303 cam was the one.......I think that the opinions here are just as valuable seeing that we are mustang lovers and many of you have been where I am trying to go....................PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I have the E303 in my car and it definately does not sound stock. It has just enough lope to sound great in my opinion. (However, I don't know how much of that is from my recently acquired vacuum leak. booo!) Its a good cam, good power and it is emissions legal.

I'm running the E cam w/ 1.72's and some worked over E7's. I don't know that you'll noctice much on bone stock E7's, but maybe a little. You'll enjoy it.... If you can get some GT40's or P heads, ABSOLUTELY do that at the same time and you'll notice a big difference.

Your best bet is to go with the B cam, duration is what makes a cam lope, more so than the lift ,unless its a crazy big cam. The B cam is BETTER for a stock headed car because even if you open the valve up past .500 the flow doesnt get any better than it would with .480 lift. What you want to do is keep the valve open for longer, which the B303 will do for you, and the B cam does make power lower than 3000, my car pulls hard from 1500 on up, granted it pulls harder in the upper RPM's but thats because of my intake. Not to mention the B cam will lope harder than an E cam even though it has less lift.

I'm not knocking you guys that are suggesting the B cam or other cams, but he said earlier that he got the E cam for free...that's why he was wanting info on it instead of others......

xseanx--Something I forgot to mention: I'd get the Crane valve spring kit or something along those lines since you are upgrading the cam and possibly the rockers. It is a good insurance policy for ~$130 (from summit).
