hey everyone, I just got an 89 mustang gt convertible. I want to get the engine and tranny rebuilt. But I am wondering if it wouldn't be easier/better to buy a 302 crate engine thats already at 340+ hp or to have my current one rebuilt and modded. I'm not a big fan of working on cars though I can do it.

Also how much would a good automatic tranny run me? What would you suggest I get for an the stang?

If you are not a big fan of working on cars, a GT40 crate engine from Ford Racing would be a good advice for you. For a tranny you could go for a new or rebuilt stock with a good stall converter and a shift kit.

If you've got the cash for a crate engine it's always a good option.
