I didn't think they were. I saw a video posted yesterday about streat racing in CA and the cop was saying the cold air intake was illigal. I got to have all the cars components in the car and nothing else. I will put a box in the back with the old filter box and parts.

Thanks so much!! Thats the one I got. The info just says "vehicles that meet all U.S. emission requirements will bear manufacturer's label on the engine compartment in English, attesting to that fact." I didn't think that was the lable but if thats the only one regarding emmisions in your car them I am good to go! The only fee I think I have to pay is the gas guzzler tax. Do you pay this tax?
I think you might have an argument if you stress the fact that it is a used car......it has the sticker it complies with EPA regulations for the year of manufacture, so why should you pay for a tax other '89 Mustangs users are exempt from paying?....check if the gas guzzler tax is applicable for used cars.....

I found this funny when I read it and I've got to say it, Mustangs have been built only in America at the original Ford manufacturing facility in Detroit. The engine and a handfull of other things come from Germany, but that's about it.

How much is the gas guzzler tax going to cost you if you have to pay it? If it's too much, why not just sell your stang and buy another one when you get back here?

If you guys are exempt then from the tax than I certainally will be also. I just had another look. It's the same lable. It's a little blurry in a few places but if I had read the bottom part eariler I wouldn't of been worried. It's always good to double check. Looks like everthing is all good!

I don't know how much the tax would cost. Trying to find out.. apparently nothing if you guys don't pay it. I don't want to sell it because it's got low miles and it's my baby.

I import heavy equipment from Germany on a regular basis.

Make sure the car is VERY clean underneath before you ship it.
Customs has been giving us hell lately for even just light surface dirt or mud
on the undercarrage and making us wash it again on the docks before they
will release it.

The EPA lable looks correct, we have to make sure we have em on our cranes too.
