Default Exhaust question

I will soon be putting on my exhaust system (MAC O/R X-Pipe, with Flowmaster Cat-Back) in just over a week...my question is since I am deleting the cats, is there any problems with a check engine light? The fellow at the muffler shop told me to keep the cats in or else I will have problems... I kinda looked at him like he was an idoit (hoping that I wasn't the idoit) I'm in Alberta, so there is no emissions. Any help or info on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks all

Default RE: Exhaust question

I just replaced mine, and removed all of the smog stuff as well, no engine light, or problems, Go for it.

If you are gonna get the MAC H pipe, get the Mac Cat Back system also. It is a real nice system and sounds awesome, bout the same as flowmasters but just a real nice system. Click on the link in my sig to hear my setup.

Good luck,
Darrin

man, yeah your exhaust sounds awesome! I was contemplating between MAC and the Flows, the dealer at The Mustang Shop recommended the Flows, plus they were almost $100 cheaper. I'm still undecided.
