Default carb

has any1 switched over to a carb on the stock fuel pump. i think that to make the stock work with the carb i have to run a switch to keep the fuel pump constantly on. whith fuel injected it shuts off after the lines are primed. with a carb i believe it will need to stay on to fuel the carb. any1 have any suggestions on what to do? thanks gary

the stock pump is a high pressure pump, for carb you need 3-9psi
just take the pump out of the bracket in the tank and run a fuel hose in place of the pump, then use an in-line pump.
aeromotive makes good fuel pumps.

actually you need a by-pass regulator... i dont know about the stock pump, but it seems to me if it can pump gobs of psi for efi then with a by-pass regulator it should be able to maintain a constant 6 psi... I'm not sure cuz i have an aeromotive pump on my car that pumps zillions of gallons/hour an a regulator to hold it back, thus maintaining a constant presure under all driving conditions...

Ok... zillions is a bit of overkill... [sm=alcoholic.gif]
