intakes

Does anyone in here have that BBK SSI Intake? If so what do you think about them? Are they a good intake?

THERES A DYNO TEST IN A RECENT MUSCLE MUSTANG AND FAST FORDS. IT WAS RIGHT THERE WITH ALL THE TOP INTAKES. HAD VERY STRONG UPPER RPM. ALSO TESTED ON A 331 OR 347 CANT REMEMBER AND PERFORMED EVEN BETTER
. SO FROM WHAT THEY SAID FOR A TOTALLY STOCK MUSTANG MAYBE A LITTLE MUCH, BUT STILL GREAT. AND ALSO PERFORMS EVEN BETTER WITH MODS

i think the BBK SSI is sweet cus it looks different and makes good power...... its different than every other intake and i think it looks awesome

I think the BBK intake is too ugly. I was considering buying it, but it looks too funky.

2. BBK 75MM EGR PLATE
3. BBK Shorty Headers
4. BBK Off road H-pipe with no cats
5. BBK FUEL PUMP 255 LITERS/HOUR
6. Ford racing 30 lb injectors
7. BBK SSI Intake (honed out)
8. Ford Racing Aluminum Driveshaft
9. A/C eliminator
10. Smog pump eliminator
11. Ford Racing 3.90 gears
12. MSD 6Al Ignition Kit
13. MSD Blaster 2 Coil
14. MSD 8.5 MM wires
15. NGK spark plugs
16. MSD Distributor
17. King Cobra clutch
18. Rebuilt t-5 tranny world class
19. Pro 5.0 shifter
20. Steeda clutch cable
21. Hypereutectic Flat Top .30 pistons
22. lunati camshaft with Duration 284/292, Lift .500/.510
23. Hi flo oil pump
Block is bored .30 over and has stock crank
Heads are also ported, buit stock

it doesnt flow nearly as much as trickflow, or the edelbrock rpm2, but is nice cause it comes with fuel rails and regulator.

So how much boost are you going to be running? Also what is the compression ratio on the engine to be running that much boost?

man i'd say with that set-up he'll be running at lease 37.5 pounds of boost

yea, that may be true, I agree it does look kinda goofy. But let's hop in the WAY BACK machine and go to the first time you saw a stock 5.0 EFI intake.....I remember exactly what I thought...."wow, that thing looks kinda funky all laid over like that"
