New Foxbody Owner Here
Whats up fellas? I am new to the fox scene. I just bought an 88 Hatch MAss Air car. It has Windsor Jr Heads, 1.6 RR, Crane 2030 Cam, Trick Flow Track Heat Intake, Full Exhaust, Cold Air. 24lb injectors with matching 73MM Mass AIr meter, 70 MM TB, SHifter, 355 gears, subframes, Upper and Lower Control Arms, 17" CObras with Nitto DR's. I took the car the the track and only could get a 13.5@101 consistently. I could only get a 2.0 60ft time becuase of some issues with doing burnouts. The timing is set at 12 right now and I have the fuel pressure set at 37 at idle. Does this sound normal to you and why is this car not going 12's. I had a mildly bolt on 4.6L going 13.6 on heavy 18" Chrome cobra wheels and street tires. What gives with this fox. Is it the heads not being aluminum that is holding the car down. Thanks

stock FP is 39-41
right now ur at stock timing, try bumping it up to 14-16 with some 93 octane
you could use a higher gear like 3.90's or 4.10's
the suspension on the fox is nothing pretty.. the sn-95 handles like a dream compared to a fox
get some subframe connectors, U&L control arms, drag shocks, etc..

He has subframe connectors and u/l control arms. Those times dont sound too bad for a H/C/I setup on street tires.
