Default so is it new

so when i bought my car they guy said it had a new clutch in it, cna i verify this is any way WITHOUT a ton of work. )if not thats cool ill have something ot do) the one thing is the clutch in the car is unreal stiff(thats ok) i herd that preformance clutches will be like that though???am i full of ****

take the cover off like u were going to adjust the clutch cable. get a flashlight and start looking.

if you have the stock quadrant setup you just lift up the clutch pedal untill you hear it click and your done.

I think what you're trying to find out is where the clutch fork cover is....

Driver's side of the car, look up on the side of the tranny. You will be able to see where the thick, black cable (clutch cable) goes into the bellhousing. The cover is right there (usually black). You need to remove the screw on the bottom, slide it a 1/2" towards the back of the car, then pull down and out. It should come off pretty easily, but sometimes the seal gets sticky, so a screwdriver may be needed to seperate it. shine a light in there towards the back of the engine and you'll see the clutch and PP. You're on your own from there as far as trying to figure out what brand it is.

youve put 20 k on the clutch so hard to say if it was new 20k ago when i was a kid i went thru 4 clutchs on my 64 comet 1st three under warranty , then after 12 k i had to pay for my own,god i wish i was 17 again "tearin up new cars"

you can see if it looks nice and new. THe pressure plate i mean. Other than that, no real way to tell until you pull the tranny and bellshousing and take the pressure plate off.
