WTF, don't you guys have higher expectations for your cars?[&:] I don't get it.

I think its an admirable goal for someone new to the mustang hobby. These guys have to start somewhere, and it wouldn't be any fun if the cars ran 12.50's out of the box(well....maybe). I think alot of the younger guys are getting away from the big wing, body kit, import scene, and trying out some domestic muscle for a change. The SN-95's are getting more affordable all the time as well. They're getting the car, and joining message boards for info and to find others with similar interests, and discovering a large contingency of the mustang crowd is into drag racing instead of "El Dorifto". It's an all new world to some of these guys, and they're learning as they go.
I see it all the time at the track. Young guy with a pony, obviously new to the track, trying to roll into the waterbox with his street tires set at 12psi, roasting them on the burnout, staging his back tires, dumping the clutch @ 5500 rpm, and wondering why he's running 9.80's in the 1/8th. All we can do is take them under out wings, and pass whatever knowledge we have along to them.
Besides...13.0's aren't that slow.[8D]
