12 sec 302?
im not a real big car buff but i know i want to build my '89 notch into the 12's so to whomp all these ricers i got around my area. What i need to know is what type of cam, intake, carb to put on my 302, and what rear end to have. Any suggestions?

Youll need a set of heads too. SOme C-9 or D0 casting 351 heads (1969/1970) would do nicely. Or if you can afford it some TFS twisted wedge or AFR 185's, if you go the aftermarket cylinder head route I'd reccommend am edelbrock Victor Jr. intake a 540/550 lift cam with 280/290 duration, and a 750 double pumper. Depending on how much you know about carbs Edelbrock makes some nice ones that are easy to work with. That should do ya.

my buddy went 11.80's on 40's like that....40 intake box stock, stock block, 4.10's and 125 shot on et drags.

Saturday night at the midnight drags, I drove my friends car. I went 14.54 on motor, and 12.90 on a 125 shot. Only thing done to the car is exhaust, gears, and nitrous... 12's are simple, go for it!!! Synyster

My car hits 12s with good, sticky tires. But I'm EFI, as you can see. It's also quite an investment. Just waiting for a S/C basically.
Then again, my car doesn't hit **** with a blown transmission.
