3.55 or 3.73
K, finally getting my gears after the exhaust goes on. Now, I do drive on the highway sometimes, have a new OEM clutch, and want to obviously go faster. Mine is a 95 GT 5 speed, 3.55 or 3.73 and why?

Well a few simple ?? to ask yourself. Do you race the car? How far do you travel with the car (i.e 500 mile vacations) or to you just run around town? I have 355's and love them, only at about 2000 rpm when driving 65, obviously the 373's would bring this up, I am guessing to around 2500 rpm. SO my final answer is, just how much highway driving do you do?Alot go with the 355's, a little go 373's (you will love them) or if you race alot go 373's.

RE: 3.55 or 3.73
I have very few mods done on my motor, and the 3:55 gears seem to work well. At the end of the 1/4 mile, in 4th gear, it's just under 5000 rpm.
On the highway, at 70 mph, I'm at 2400 rpm. I'm running 245/50-16 tires on the back.
If you done mods to your motor (and it looks like you have), and do a little racing, I'd probably go with the 3:73's because your motor will make power at a higher rpm than a stock motor.
If you're just using it to cruise around town and occasionally going on the highway, I'd go with 3:55's.
