My car has 3.73's in the rear. In low RPMs i'd say under 1700 it howls... Is this normal?

Whats the problem? The car came like this. I mean it drives fine and everything.


NOTE, I forgot this is only in like 4th and 5th gear......... Rarely 4th, I hear it when im in fifth doing like 45ish at 1500

i think they are, the car drives great with them. maybe its just a natural sound... no biggie just wondering on it. i mean the exhaust isnt pumping that hard at those rpms, so maybe its just the wind or something

Pluss if it only does it in 4th or 5th it could be your tranny! Just because it sounds like its coming from the back doesnt mean it is. sound transfers really well through that drive train

you shouldnt hear any howling from the gears, they need to be checked
