Default 95GT slight hesitation

I've got a slight hesitation from 1500-2000 rpms on my stock engine. There is no code, and I have replaced the egr system, wires, plugs (.0052 gap) fuel filter, air filter, and oil change. I'm pretty sure there are no vacuum leaks. Engine runs strong, but seems plagued by that hesitation around those rpms. Help me out!!

Im not sure how severe your hesitation is, but when my car reaches the powerband, everyone in the car knows it, so I guess you could call that hesitation before it gets there. Can you hear the engine hesitating and bogging down, or does it just have no pickup?

I hope you mean .052 gap.
Clean your MAF wire too, they can get dirty over time.

I had a hesitation at 1,750 rpm when I first installed my supercharger years ago.
I dyno-tune and a Superchip straightened that right out for me.

+1 on the MAF, also clean your IAC passage out, and maybe give er the ol induction cleaning. take the air cleaner tubing off and open the throttle plate and spray some carb cleaner in er and wipe it down and get the carbon stuff out.

I'd 2nd FiveLiterRiceEateror on cleaning the IAC .. Pretty simple task too... A dirty one will usually cause the hesitation you are talkin about.

I've got the same problem on my 94 cobra. It didn't happen when the car was stock, but as I added a few bolt ons it started hesitating real bad. I'm thinking a chip is in order. I've heard the computers on the 94-95s don't respond to mods well.

yeah, my '95 hesitated real bad under 1500 RPMs after i put my C&L MAF and CAI on it. i clocked it a little (turn your MAF left and right until it runs better, it makes different volumes of air run over the sensor, which adjusts the fuel/air ratio) to try to get it running better, and it seemed like it helped some. give that a try if you have an aftermarket MAF.
