Default gears

I have a completely stock 92 lx and I really want to add some mods to it. The first thing that I wanna do is get some gears. I've been debating about 3.55s or 3.73s, maybe you guys can give me some pros and cons about each of them because I really cant decide. I jus ran a 14.8 at the track the other day so what would be running with 3.55s or 3.73s??

3.73's and 4:10's are nice..... Ive got 4:10's and there nice gears but bad on mpg, and you lose some top end... Id say for a good mid range gear Id go with the 3:73's

4.10's are wayyyyyyyy steep on a 5.0. 4.10's

3.55's on a 5.0 are the equivilant of about 4.10's on a newer 4.6

3.55's - 3.73's are usually where you wanna be on a 5.0. 3.73's are gonna give you a lower et, but highway driving is worse. Im a 3.73 guy in 5.0's and a 4.10 guy in 4.6's

If you were going to leave the motor stock, I'd say 3.55's
But sounds like you plan on doing mods, and if so, you be able to make power at a higher rpm. Then I would go with the 3.73's

Yea dude, def. Plus when you're racing on the highway it's just dangerous and you'll probably get nabbed by the cops. I've got 3.73's waiting to go in.
