Default G TEch computer need help!

Hi.

I bought a G-Tech pro SS in May

Tried in my 87 GT few weeks ago.

work all good.
Programmed it right and calibrated RPM right on the dot.

Now today I go to do it and RPM does not go over 2500 on the G-Tech but on the car's gauge all works good.

SO I re-do on the settings again.

Still does the same.

I went right after and tried it on my friends civic did all his settings and went to do a few runs.
All was 100%

So I got and re-do the setting for my car and it dont work.

So I am thinking something is screwed with the 8 cylinder setting cause rpm does not go over 2500RPM

Then after the RPM calibration it ask you to choose the closest setting .
I did that and still the same problem.

So I decided to take this further

Tried in my moms echo.

Work 100%

Tried in my dads 6.0L chev
still stays at 2500

So now I know its the computer.

Anybody had this problem?

Now I will tried for a warranty

Any luck with that guys?

Im not exactally sure why its doing that. Did you just erase all the data in the G tech and completly start over reduing ALL of the calibrations for the Stang?

I would try that first. I have no problems with mine on my 93 GT

Im not sure what other calibrations there are on there but I know there are more... theres the axle calibration, rpm's, weight, etc.

Also, did you make sure that the g tech was level? Im not sure but that could possibly throw some readings off causing it to not work...
