Anyone ever change the outer door beltline weatherstrip at the base of the window? I've got new ones coming tomorrow and don't really know how they come off. The guy at 50 resto said I would have to modify them slightly because I have t-tops, but I didn't ask how the thing actually came off.

They are rivited to the door. You have to remove the belt molding Its just one screw inside the door jamb and then it slids back and comes off 4 hugh rivits the door. You might have to take the mirror out or loosen it. If you do them just remove the cover place in the inside and there should be two screws that the hold the mirror one. I dont know what kind of modifying will need to be done but if its anything its just cutting them a little.
