Default plug gaps

I am going to change my plugs, wires, cap, and button today. With my setup what do you think I should gap my plugs at? My timing is advanced about 12 degrees. And I dont know if this makes a difference or not but my motor is not a HO and I am still running a speed density setup. Any info is appreciated.

When you go to the parts store they should ask you what year and all of that, the plugs they give you should already be gapped correctly.

.044 is where most are set at from the factory, though you may read in some books that they were set at .054. I've got mine set at .044, and it seems to run good there.
