I don't have a clue but I did have one guy that worked out of his backyard on custom stuff mostly on GMs (he had an LT 1Camaro and a vette in the shop that day). and he semmed really weird??? He offered to install my long tubes for 400.00 uh-uh-uh...no thanks........seemed really weird and kind of gay as well??/

This is a tech section, please don't clutter up the thread with feeble attempt at humor.

To answer the question, yes a timing advance might help the car, however because the LT1 has a distributor less ignition you need to advance the timing threw the computor via a hand help or better yet a lap top program called LT1 Edit.
