I have an 84 mustang and I've been having some problems with the ignition switch. When I hit a big bump or touch the key a little bit the car ( ignition) will go dead and I have to jiggle the key to start the car again. Sometime I can play with the key all I want and it dosnt do this? Also my wipers wont always work on the first (slowest settin) and sometimes the wipers will just go off on the own (just for one wipe) It must be more or less the same problem I think, please how can I fix this. Check the connections on the ignition switch and if they're fine you may need a new one. Wiper switch may need replaced too.

 

OK Thanks, I'm gonna open it up and check it today. Dose the ignitin switch need to be rivited into place?
