Tranny Advice!

RE: Tranny Advice!
Ask around. We foudn a guy to rebuild ours for $125. We bought a rebuild kit from Hanlon Motorsports. We then had to buy a new 2nd gear (wasnt really a surprise since it constantly grinded). We spent around $1500 on the whole rebuild process.
The whole process included:
Long tube headers
O/R H-pipe
Tranny rebuild Kit
2nd gear
Tranny Mount
steel bearing retainer
Spec Stang 1 clutch
Spec aluminum flywheel
4 quarts of fluid (spill one when we had to take the tranny back out)
Oil pan gasket
rear main seal
starter solenoid
Spark plugs
I think thats everything we repalced.

theese ppl got some pretty good stuff. the owner is realllllllllly helpfull too. just call them up and talk to someone and they will tell you what will be good for your set up and other helpful hints and stuff like that. id say drop the tranny yourself and replace it w/ a g-fore. i dropped mine in like 2 hours for the first time. its really easy. and it was only me doing it by myself. easy.
