Default fuel pressure regulator

Is there a way to bypass the stock fuel pressure regulator? What would happen if I just disconnected it all together? Just wonderin cause my 86GT is runnin lean and I dont really have the money to buy an aftermarket regulator.

im sure something would burst...you would be going max pressure at all times and probably cause the injectors to leak, causeing your fuel mileage to go to crap...

NOT a good idea. They put it in for a reason.

Either you'd have to plug the return line or have it go straight to the return, either way bad idea and things won't work. Bottom line if you're not getting enough fuel for your engine and it's all in working order you need an adjustable reg.
