Default fuel tank fuel line question

You guys know how on the fuel lines on the tank that have those plastic connecotrs that fit aroudn them and that are really freaking gay and suck and I hate??? Do you think one could just get rid of the plastic connector inside the fuel hose, and use a hose clamp to fit it to the tank? I like that way much better.

the hoses have a plastic tube in them would be hard to have a hose clamp unless u peel back rubber, and put a second rubber hose and 2 clamps on either end...

yeah, thats probably what i'd do. I'm really paranoid that they're not in right and i know that clamps would not leak.

I wouldn't use a clamp. Is yours broken or what? Why do you want to change it?

i don't trust those plastic things really. When I put my fuel pump in I just didnt feel like those "duckbill connectors" worked, and I'd feel better if it was clamped. But I'm assuming that ford used those for a reason, hence my reasoning of asking before doing something that could be stupid.

Leave it alone. They have been using those connectors for years w/o any problems.
