Yes to the first part, maybe to the second. If you do get a Dart block, make sure you put a good rotating assembly into it. Look for 4340 crank and rods and buy custom, high quality pistons from a major manufacturer. I say buy custom pistons because you should always get your desired compression ratio instead of settling for a range based on head cc that they may have had sitting on the shelf. They will generally have a sheet with multiple measurements on each individual piston and they'll sometimes be numbered individually. You will then have each cylinder hole machined for each individual piston. Another tip is if you're going with a power adder motor (especially nitrous because people at this level tend to be very aggressive), order 10-12 pistons to keep some spares. The only "kit" I'd look at is someone who does Scat because they generally give you a choice between about 6 different major manufacturers of pistons. I'd look at JE, CP, Diamond, Ross or possibly Mahle pistons.

whitch one and who makes the best???

I'm still debating this topic my self. I going towards a 331 just cause of a bit longer life span then the 347. What I want to know if anyone here knows are numbers. How much HP can I get from a 331 N/A and the number for a 347 N/A?
Here's where I'm getting my stroker kit from for those who are curious http://www.strokerkits.com/ford_stroker_kits.htm

The DSS is not stock if you get the super pro bullet or Xr those are 650 and 1000 Hp rated

^ +1 w/ Full Auto. I think you are getting confused. A DSS block is still a STOCK block and will still be limited at 550rwhp (give or take). A DART block will run you about 2K easy with nothing in it (no crank, pistons, etc. etc.). Than add the $1,300 for a stroker kit and you have yourself a shortblock for about 3.5K.
