Hatch or Trunk?

Hatch or Trunk?
As i posted in an earlier post Im a pre-modular NEWB! I bought two '85 hatches a while back for dirt cheap. I like the style of the newer (87-93)front ends but my question is this. I plan on taking my project to the strip on a regular basis but I also want to drive it on the street maybe once a month. For drag racing and general looks, which one is better? Trunk model LX or a Hatch LX. I came across a running 4cyl 87 notch for $600. Worth it or no. Already got a motor, mounts, tranny to go in.

RE: Hatch or Trunk?
trunk is lighter but other than that looks matter the most, why not just keep the hatches you have and strip them and make them for racing only? One can achieve fairly decent times with a completely stripped car with a mosty stock engine.
