Quick Question
Alright so I borrowed my brothers flywheel and clutch because mine went out and he accidently orderd one with his 347 stroker. So I put his 347 flywheel and clutch in my car and it viberated leading me to believe that its not balanced correctly? Would the fact that the clutch and flywheel are balanced for the 347 motor make it viberate? If I take in my old flywheel and have it turned will it work with the new centerforce clutch. Is there a difference between a 347 and 306 clutch?
im no expert but the clutch should be fine as long as it is for the 302 block and the t-5 tranny. I would lean more towards the flywheel being the wrong weight or unbalanced or something along those lines

Ok i think its probably the wrong weight i remember readin somewhere that most of the time 347's are 28 OZ, mines prolly not causeing the vibration... I hope they are the same diamiter I'll have to check that tommorow when i pull it all back out. What weight do you think a 306 flywheel is?
the 347 is going to be balanced differently from your 306. of course its going to vibrate. get yours machined and you can use it with the clutch. find out what the weight of the flywheel is though, and the brand. if you wanna get rid of it i might be interested if its aluminum and a 28oz balance.
k that makes sense, i never thought of it....till it was viberating. i was just happy as hell to get it all back together again. I know it not an aluminum one, not sure of brand.
