Power not all there.... Help

Power not all there.... Help
Well i recently had my new engine installed.... im still breaking it in, it has about 360 miles on it... i have yet to get on it really hard, but i notice that the power doesnt feel like its all there. Do i still i have time to break it in more, before i can feel the full advantage of my new beefed up engine, or is there some things i should check.. The guy at the shop said that its running fine, but for some reason its not at full potential compared to my stock engine.. Any help would be great

you actually want to get on it a bit when breaking an engine in.
you do NOT want to baby a new engine or you'll never get the rings to seat properly
you want to drive it hard and no long term constant rpm's (freeway driving) for
first few hundred miles.
