fuel pump

how exactly do you know if your fuel pump is going out?

I would think it would just go. I have had two cars have the pupm go out and they just went. There wasnt really any indication. I would think maybe engine surging?

maybe its not the fuel pump, my car hesitates when i jump on the throttle and its hard to start...

sooo, what could be wrong with my car? it seems i have to pump gas to it... i turn the key over 2-3 times to get fuel to the engine before i crank, then it seems like it still dosent want to start. its long and drawn out?
