I have a manuel tranny...I had stock gears watever those were but the person at the shop I got them done at said thety should b broken in by not goin over 65 n beimg real easy on it for 500 mules..that's y I'm asking cuz I thought that's stupid..haha..o ya I have a 90 hatch

I would take it somewhat easy for a couple hundred miles at least. think of it like this: You can't hurt them by taking it easy, so why not be on the safe side?

Because its the most annoying thing in the world to sit there and not be able to run your car hard after you just installed gears.
Would it be the same thing if you put it on stands and just put a brick on the gas pedal for an hour?

run them up the freeway for 10-15 miles and come home and let them cool for 2 hours, do it twice. after that go somewhat easy on them (no clutch drops or tranny brake use) but its ok to kick the car in the *** when its moving a little to see what they can do.
