Cam in a '94-95 5.0- problems with idle?
I have heard that putting a cam in a 94-95 5.0 gives it a bad idle. Is this true? I have a 95 5.0 from a truck with a trick flow cam: .498/.512 what can i expect when I start it over? Thanks
hehe changing the duration and lda of any cam in a motor will change the idle. the lift isnt that aggressive - but lift doesnt affect your idle. whats your duration and lda?
Stock cam in the 5.0s aren't bad. Seen 10's with them before.
The Alphabet cams from Ford are more prone to idle problems. Steeda's #18 and #19 cams are supposed to be the best and no idle problems.
Don't need to do the A9L swap into the 94-95s anymore. That was done because nobody at the time could reflash/tune them. Now they can so get it reflashed or tuned. Best way to do it.
