How to remove backseat???

RE: How to remove backseat???
Ive had mine out and they dont weigh that much. but if your going to take it out there are a couple bolts on the bottom outside corners that hold them in. youre going to have to push the cushion back to see them and get a wrench in there.

So it's not worth it really for a D/D? They look nice, there's no fading or anything, I didn't know if they weighed 100 pounds or 10 lbs. either, so I guess that I'll leave them in. Any other weight saving tricks while I'm in the mood to tear **** apart (besides my sway bars and smog pump)? I've already yanked out the insulation that's above the spare (weighed about 25 lbs. and took about 5 seconds to remove!).

Spare tire and insulation first, sway bar doesn't make it unstable for daily driving, trust me... do yourself the favor.
Then, get the battery in the trunk... put it over the right rear tire for best traction. For an easy weight loss, take out your front passenger seat... four bolts, it is toward the front of your car, and weighs nearly 50 lbs... easy to take out or put back in in minutes. Smog and A/C will take off another 75 lbs, but that's only if you are willing to get rid of your comfortable a/c and if your state's laws allow you to remove the smog equipment. ALuminum heads not only offer superior cooling, and horsepower, but they are an average of 40 lbs lighter.. again off the nose of your car. IF you have a GT, ditch the foglamps, and the heavy bracket that goes from one side of your car to the other that supports the fogs... that's another easy 30 lbs off the very tip nose of your car.
