Default Oil Pan With or Without Sensor?

All,

Just picked up a new project car, only to find it has a leaky oil pan gasket. Since the pan itself has a couple of dings I figured I'd replace that too. However, I need to find out if my particular engine has a low oil sensor in the pan...any ideas of how I should know/find out without actually dropping the pan first?

Thanks.

its on the side of the pan. your engine should have it but if you are unsure just look at the pan for a plug on the side. if you get a pan with the sensor hole and you dont have one you can always find a plug for it at someplace like home depot

Thanks for the information...I'm debating just yanking the whole engine and rebuilding from scratch, rather than chasing down individual oil leaks.
