Default Clutch Experts...HELP!

Anyone who read the thread, "Snap, Crackle, POP" knows I snapped my clutch cable yesterday.

Well I went today and installed a new cable. Not too difficult of a job. Unfortunately it only got me about 7 shifts and 1 mile down the road before snapping the new one. [:@][:@][:@][:@]

Since I got the car, the clutch has been super stiff. It's got the king cobra clutch kit in it. I just figured this was somewhat normal. But after snapping two clutch cables, I'm beginning to think my idea of normal is a little off....

Any ideas of what could be making the clutch so stiff? The clutch (when working) is great aside from the stiffness. It doesn't slip or make noise or anything. I'm going to get her towed to a shop for the repairs tomorrow. What am I looking at for possible repair costs? Probably gonna go to the Ford stealership or a local mustang performance shop.

Thanks guys... and say a few prayers for me... LOL

Make sure your clutch fork isn't bent. You might also check the quadrant to make sure it's working properly and hasn't cracked/broken.

the quadrant seems to be in good working order as does the clutch fork. It didn't look/feel bent from what I could see. The cables broke in separate spots. The first at the end near the quadrant and the other at the clutch fork.

stiff clutch on mine was a bent fork.....they are only like 30-40 bucks. Might want to replace it anyhow...
