Default serious problem!

alright, i got my new intake manifold and 70mm throttle body in but i have problems. it starts and idles a little high but i can adjust that. the timing i got right on. but the trottle sticks. if i put a throttle return spring on it, will it help? it only stays open a little. it idles about 1000 and after you gas it and let it close on its own, it wont go less then 2000rpm unless you manually close the trottle body. next problem: white smoke comes out the back and it smells like those fog machines. do you think that that is burning coolant? if so, will it eventualy stop? the hose that leads into the intake manifold from the radiator isnt sealing so that leaks.....BAD. as soon as i fill the radiator, it leaks even when the engine isnt on. i used the original seal, would getting a new one help? and last off, the "check engine" light is on, is that cause of all the stuff the engine is burning and running through the exhaust? PLEASE HELP

what intake?...seems like the t/b spring is bad or the blade is rubbing the body..check that.a light spring will helpit return.. on the coolant I bet you crack the stat housing a common problem as for the idle did you set the idle with the idle control unplugged?..have you set the tps voltage to .98?

Hey i had this same problem when i changed over to a new upper and lower intake also.
My problem was a sticking Throttle Air bypass valve. Take it off and clean it with some brake cleaner and put it back on. Also check PVC valve to make sure the hoses arent cracked . Good luck.

pvc valve???? what about the smoke coming out the exhaust and the check engine light? i found out the seal on the thermastat housing was almost completely missing. i replaced that but havent had a chance to fill it with fluids yet.
