how to extract air from coolsystem?
hi guys, i think my 5.0 sn95 has air in the cooling system cause the gauge reads funny and unaccurate, please help.. i recently changed the fan sensor and coolant sensor and the dash temp gauge, plus my thermostat is working fine and my radiator has clean water,, how do i burp the system, and extract the air pockets correctly, thank you,,,,

go drive it for til its warm.. let it cool.. open the radiatior.. poor more coolant in..see how much is in the resivoir.. cuz if there is air in the system, u dont have enough coolant

when the car is cool remove the radiator cap and start the engine, add any coolant needed to top off the radiator and when the car gets warm the thermostat will open and the coolant will begin to flow and you can viaually see this with the cap off, at this time the air will work itself out of the system, you can pump the upper/lower radiator hoses to aide in this process, when the car is warm and your content the air is out put the cap back on and turn off the car.
