My car won't start.
I have to work at 5 30 and I need some help in the meantime.
I thought it was gas at first because I was extremely low.
So I put some more gas in there and it still didn't start.
My friend said I may have flooded it and let it cool down.
Although it was raining a little bit so I think I may have gotten some water in it...any help...advice...everything is appreciated

How long would I wait to know if my engine is flooded or not?

 

I'm assuming you carb'd? and if you smell gas near the air filter/carb then its flooded, and usually 1/2 hour before you'd try it again unless you wanted to pull the carb off and clean it out.

 

nah...its fuel injected

 

Does you car have EFI or is it a carb? Is it a crank no start or is it totally dead?

 

If it's fuel injected, you can put the gas to the floor while cranking - it'll shut the injectors off.

Did you pump the gas when you were trying to start it by any chance? What is the car doing when you turn it over?

 

It cranks...and doesn't start

 

I didn't pump that gas...I just tried way to much...and then my friend came out and told me to stop so I don't flood it.
A few times it would roll over...although it would be idling really low, and then I tried to give it some gas real quick so I could move and get going but it died when I tried to give it some gas
