Reading the flashes is not really going to tell you much, as the flashes only indicate general problems, not the diagnostic codes.
Unless you are pulling codes with the CEL?
The autozone suggestion is very good, they do it free, and are happy about it.

I don't know of any diagnostic computer out there that can do more than the code readers we all have access to at the part stores.
The factory computer only produces diagnostic codes. Such as 44, 94, etc. The factory computer only tells you what sensor is out of range or that something is wrong with the trans. The factory computer cannot tell us WHY the problem exists, regardless of what diagnostic computer you hook up to the car.
Even Ford diagnostic computers will only produce a trouble code.
If you ever plan on working on the car yourself, then find a code reader or learn how to read the flashes.
It will save you time.
