I got the new door handles for my car. That piece of **** rod that the handle attaches to will not go all the way down to open the door. Can that be replaced by its self or do I need a new actuator? WHat does the actuator do anyway? How do you get the rod off? Any ideas on how to fix it instaed of having to spend more money for something else for my car? It seems to never end on stupid crap like this.

try tapping it with a hammer and then it should open the door. Worked on my buddies LX that i was prepping for paint.
