Need help With New ECU
I got a 86 5.0 lx and it was Speed Density but i just converted it to a mass air. Ok i got the Ford Racing Mass Air Conversion Kit .Every since i've installed that my car it runs nice but sumtimes Ill be in 1st gear and when i let off the gas its like my throttle gets stuck or sumthing. And its does that for about 4 seconds then the rpms well go down
and it continue to do this all the way up to 5th gear. But it does this randomly iono wat it could be. I've tried disconnecting the battery and letting the ECU restart but it still does it. Its like when I shift its like im power shifting but my foot is off the gas when i shift and it does that every gear. It never start to do this intill I installed the new ECU. So can some1 help because this is very irratating.

RE: Need help With New ECU
I read up on that on google just now and i found this it says on cars with cruise control have those and i don't have crusie control. Here look this is wat i found
Hooking up Vehical Speed Sensor (VSS) wires(optional)
There is a differential signal called VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) which comes from a small sensor on the transmission where the speedometer cable is connected. In 1986-1988 MAP cars this signal was used only by the cruise control and the sensor may not be installed if your car does not have cruise control. In MAF cars, this signal is used by both the cruise control and the EEC-IV. The wires/pins for these signals are not physically equipped in a MAP car's wiring harness, which will yield an error code for NO VSS SIGNAL- (code 29) from the continuous memory codes in the EEC-IV. These signals are not absolutely needed, though some people have reported stalling when coasting to a stop without them. You can hook the VSS signals up to the EEC-IV connector by connecting the input pins of the EEC to the appropriate wires on the cruise control module (located just to the left of the

RE: Need help With New ECU
The vss from the dealer is only 19.00. Would you rather spend 5.00 for something you hope is good or 19.00 for something you know is and has a warranty.
Also even though you dont have cruise you still should have a vss. Mine is also an 86 and no cruise but has a factory vss installed.
