its a 92. Ok so i have tp spin the crank so that grove and timing dot are at 12 o clock, the cam gear, the little notch or point thing should be at 6 o clock and the cam gear should slide over that and have it sit at 6 o clock. then attach the chains and i should be all set?
Yeah that's about right. Put the cam gear on the camshaft and rotate it so the dot is at 6:00 then romove the cam gear, hang the timing gear on the cam gear, loop the chain around the crank gear with the dot facing each other and finally install the cam gear onto the camshaft.

No. Just make sure that the piston is on the compression stroke and not the exhaust stroke, otherwise it'll run like crap which means you're 180^ off.

Ok well i took my cam out, put it back in so the little timing bar is at 6 o clock, put the cam gear on, put the little bar inside the little hole on the gear, spun the crankshaft so the little grove and dot are at 12 o clock, put the the TC on, spun it over and the same thing happens, i really dont get it anymore
