Default Fuel pump whining

I have a somewhat weird problem, my fuel pump whines after I turn the engine off... Sometimes just abit(as it should, I think) but sometimes it can keep it up for minutes or even hours... I think it's getting worse... At the same time there is a gurgling noise coming from the fuel lines over the fuel injectors. Isn't there some valve or something that's supposed to help the fuel regulator(or a part of) keep the pressure by send fuel back to the tank, could that be the problem? Any thoughs?

Also I'd like to thank all of you who help me with my problems in the beginning of this summer I was able to have the summer vacation thanks you guys, Thank you!

I have a 5.0L Mustang -90 Manual.

Default RE: Fuel pump whining

If the pump is stayin on after the car is off than it sounds like an electrical issue. Check and make sure there arent any loose wires on the relay. Could also be the ignition switch goin bad.
