To tell how much fuel pressure you would have at wide open throttle, take the vacuum hose off the vac port on your fuel pressure regulator. Stock pressure is supposed to be 39/40 I heard somewhere, I could be wrong. Keep in mind that it could be different because of different sized injectors.

I have a fresh short block, a stock replacement oil pump, and a stock pan. My oil pressure never goes any higher than 65 and has not gone any lower than 40.

I'm thinking 45 is too low for high rpm's, I'm gonna order a high volume pump, Do ya think I can change it out with the motor in the car?

Is the short block fresh? Be careful with a high volume pump and stock pan, if you get it strung in the quater you may pump the pan dry. 45 isn't that bad if your gauge is right and your engine has some miles on it. Did it suddenly drop or has it always been 45?
